Breakdown of the sports outlay
The financial statement has selected Gurugram to build a brand new stadium and a complementary sports hostel for the same to promote athlete training accessibility and residential needs. Four other cities shall also build residential centers for budding athletes. The star appearance of the sports approvals was the Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex at Daulatabad near Pataudi Tehsil's upgradation to evolve into Haryana’s first-ever international standards compliant para sports stadium for athletes with special needs. The revamped stadium shall include special infrastructural facilities and training amenities meeting global standards.
Another noteworthy announcement is the projected construction of 21 stadiums in regions of Rohtak, Gurugram, Sonipat, Faridabad, Yamunanagar, and many more. This shall improve grassroots-level participation of the enthusiastic youth of Haryana while decentralizing quality sports infrastructure beyond the metropolitan.
Strengthening the talent pipeline
Training centers under the Khelo India Mission shall be established in each district entrusted to a former athletic champion to provide dedicated mentorship and guidance. Along with this, a synthetic turf shall also be provided to each district in an attempt to standardize the training quality of the potential athletes. Giving accessibility without exposure seems redundant, which is why the government has also planned a talent acquisition drive called Mission Olympic 2036, whereby early identification, polished training, and long-term grooming shall be provided to the promising potentials of Haryana.
