IND vs AFG: KL Rahul Benched for Chennai ODI, Know Why.
KL Rahul is benched for the IND vs AFG 3rd ODI in Chennai. Here's why he was dropped and how Shubman Gill explained India's changes at the toss.

Indian player KL Rahul misses the selection in the playing XI of India in the third and final One Day International match between India and Afghanistan at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The reason behind his omission might be the comeback of Nitish Kumar Reddy in the team.
India is tinkering with their lineup for this dead rubber by making three new inclusions in the team. Prasidh Krishna, Harsh Dubey, and Nitish Kumar Reddy are the three players who have been added to the Indian lineup for the game against Afghanistan. While Ishan Kishan has retained his spot as the wicketkeeper, it is KL Rahul who makes way for the inclusion of Reddy into the side.
Gill Explains The Toss Call.
India lost the toss and was sent to bat by Afghanistan. Commenting on the toss, captain Shubman Gill said that even though he likes batting first himself, they have the opportunity to work on something which they have not been able to do throughout the series, by which he meant chasing.
"Looks like a very good wicket. Would've batted first as well. Pretty hot in the last match, and it's going to be no different here. Consistency in the areas we're working on. We're going to be chasing in this game, and consistency in chasing big totals has been one area where we haven't ticked the box yet. That's what we're going to focus on today. Three changes. Prasidh, Harsh, and Nitish Reddy are back." Shubman Gill said after the toss
How Has KL Rahul Performed In The Current Series?
It is not because of any shortage of performance on the part of Rahul. In the first match of the series at Dharamsala, he remained unbeaten with 39 runs scored in 19 balls and was responsible for making the final runs that helped India win the game against Afghanistan after 13 balls in chase of their target. In the second ODI match played at Lucknow, Rahul also kept wickets for Afghanistan during their innings in place of Ishan Kishan. Since the series had already been won by India 2-0 before Chennai, this can be considered a case of rotation only.
Probable Playing XI
Shubman Gill (c), Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan (wk), Shreyas Iyer, KL Rahul, Washington Sundar, Gurnoor Brar, Harshit Rana, Prince Yadav , Harsh Dubey.
