Indian women's cricket team has won the India vs West Indies warm up match by 26 runs, yesterday

Women in Blue have won the India vs West Indies warm-up match. Before the upcoming T20 World Cup 2026 for Women , in a warm-up match with the West Indies women's cricket team our Indian Women's Cricket team won by 26 runs. Where two of our spinners have delivered a wonderful performance.
The match was taking place in Sophia Gardens, Cardiff. On Monday, the Indian women's cricket team got to bat in the first innings. Bharti Fulmali joined the team in place of Indian Captain Harmanpreet Kaur. Had scored a half century with a conclusion at 56 runs and remained unbeaten.
India has scored 59 without any loss at the opening partnership. Then Aaliyah Alleyne got Smriti Mandhana's wicket in the concluding over of the power play. Mandhana was the stand-in captain of the match. After dismantling the first wicket the Caribbean brigade got a couple of wickets back to back. Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues were sent back to the dugout in two consecutive overs setting the team's batting lineup at a Short note of 85 runs.
There comes the partnership of Yastika Bhatia, who joined the team almost two years ago and Bharti Fulmali's partnership of 60 runs. Though Bhatia was taken away, this partnership helped India a lot to complete the first innings at a quite impressive 179 out of 8 wickets.
In the second innings Indian bowlers took over the match. Though the West Indies batting lineup tried hard to chase the target, the bowling lineup of the blue brigade didn't leave any scope. The 2nd innings started with a nice partnership of 63 runs without any loss. Then they lost their first wicket in the ninth over of the 2nd innings.
After the partnership got disrupted Indian bowlers took over the match. Shreyanka Patil got two wickets in the same over and Qiana Joseph and Jahzara Claxton were sent back in the 11th over. Radha Yadav, the left-arm spinner, got three wickets two overs later. Patil added two more wickets to her pocket and concluded at a befitting 4 wickets in total by giving 36 runs and thus, in spite of Jannillea Glasgow and Shawnisha Hector's try India won the match by 26 runs.
