Mumbai-based Sixth Sense Ventures acquires minority stakes in sports tech firm InFieldSports.

Sixth Sense Ventures, a Mumbai-based venture capital firm, has successfully acquired a minority stake in sports presentation technology firm InFieldSports Technology Pvt. Ltd. As a part of this deal, Sixth Sense is expected to acquire a 30% stake in the sports tech firm.
Formerly known as Techfront, InFieldSports, is a Chennai-based firm founded in 1996 by Muralidharan Srinivasan. The company excels in providing perimeter systems, ribbon boards, scoreboards, display infrastructure, and software solutions for major sports events across the globe.
The sports tech firm’s website displays its involvement in several sports events across the US, UK, and Europe. The company generates 70% of its total revenue through its involvement in indoor and outdoor World Athletics events, Premier League championships, football and rugby competitions in the UK, and events organized by UAE and Qatar football associations. The remaining 30% of the company’s revenue is generated through its operations in India.
Talking to VCCircle, Srinivasan mentioned that through this deal with Sixth Sense, the sports tech company aspires to become an AI-driven company and reach out to some of the biggest sports in North America, the UK, and Europe.
Referring to InFieldSports’ expertise in sports presentation, Nikhil Vora, CEO and founder, Sixth Sense, highlighted the growing revenue generation through live sports events and how the presentation of live events and the entire ecosystem have undergone drastic transformation.
Sportscape believes this is a strong step for the sports tech firm, as support from Sixth Sense Ventures will bring both funding and confidence. With live sports becoming more tech-driven, the deal can help the company grow its AI capabilities and expand globally.
