Vanderbilt’s $300M Sports Push Positions Nashville as Emerging US Sports Hub
Vanderbilt University in Nashville has approved a $300 million sports infrastructure overhaul under the Vandy United Campaign

Nashville is aiming to emerge as the US sports capital with one of the largest sports infrastructure allocations in its Vanderbilt University's history.
Under the Vandy United athletic campaign, Vanderbilt has sanctioned a massive $300 million investment in a sports overhaul.Athletics director and vice chancellor for athletics and university affairs, Candice Story Lee, announced the latest phase of the project with the fund being collected as capital spending of the university, alumni donations, and athletic boosters.

Roadmap to the ambitious infrastructural haul
The centerpiece of the project is the soccer and lacrosse stadium for aiding the women's lacrosse and soccer teams. The facility shall be designed from an Olympic compliance perspective with changing rooms, sports medicine centers, and competition equipment.
Another striking feature shall constitute the football experience center, which shall provide quality infrastructure to the university's athletic potential. It shall have an indoor field, sports medicine and rehabilitation center, coaches' offices, and administrative blocks.There shall also be an Olympic sports performance center to host multiple varsity teams. Services include strength training spaces, locker rooms and athlete recovery areas.
The Lumis Family Tennis Centre shall also have an upgrade involving an increase in the number of indoor courts and training services, boosting both genders towards athletic participation.
