Every country right now is eyeing the ICC World Cup 2027 . So is the West Indies men's cricket team. Recently, they announced their squad of 15 men who will play against Sri Lanka in the Upcoming 3-Day T20 series hosted by the Caribbean brigade.
The Squad
After the previous match, the selectors have dropped off a few players and have included a few as well in the team. And concluded at 15. This new team is also led by the former captain Shai Hope. Although, players like Johnson Charles, Quentin Sampson and Jayden Seals were dropped off the team. Though this trio is much celebrated, the selectors have decided to go beyond them. They have also left no room for the pace bowler Lazzari Joseph.
Basically, the new team that will be playing against the Sri Lanka men's cricket team is an amalgamation of old renowned names and new emerging talents. As the World Cup is the primary focus, team makers want the best possible battalion to achieve the goal. Therefore different sorts of experimentation are going on. This will increase the pressure of performance on each of the players and they will eventually come up with the best performance- might be the line of thought of the directors. Therefore they have accommodated both old and new players altogether.
