Amul grows international football presence with Spain tie-up and Argentina renewal
Amul has expanded its footprint in international football as it signed new deal with Spain's national side.

Amul, India’s dairy giant, has expanded its footprint in international football by signing a sponsorship agreement with the Spanish national football team. Simultaneously, Amul has also extended its partnership with the Argentine Football Association (AFA) through the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026.
The latest agreement has made Amul the official regional sponsor for India of the Spain national team, signalling the dairy cooperative’s first association with La Roja. The partnership deal with one of the world’s most successful and marketable national teams comes at a time when Amul is rapidly expanding its sports sponsorship portfolio.
Amul-Argentine sponsorship deal renewed
Renewing its deal with Argentina, Amul has extended its four-year-long partnership with the football team. With this extension, Amul will continue its association with defending world champions for the next FIFA World Cup cycle.
Amul’s agreement with two prominent football sides reveals the brand’s strategy of partnering with globally recognised sporting sides to extend brand visibility beyond domestic markets.
The announcement comes at a time when both sides are featuring in the FIFA World Cup 2026. Spain's campaign started with a goalless draw against Cabo Verde and will face Saudi Arabia next. Meanwhile, Argentina began their title defence against Algeria; the team will now take on Austria and Jordan.
Sportscape believes the latest move by Amul signals prioritisation of global sports marketing, leveraging the massive fan bases of the Spain and Argentina national football teams. By sponsoring two high-profile football teams ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Amul continues to position itself as an international brand.
