India v/s Afghanistan: Manav Suthar Scripts History, Becomes First Indian Since Ashwin to Claim Debut Fifer

Manav Suthar made his debut strikingly memorable by touching Ravichandran Ashwin's record. In the India vs Afghanistan Test series hosted by the Afghanistan Cricket Board aka ACB in India, Manav made his very first appearance in the national jersey and made it a red-letter day of his career with his performance.

Afghanistan hosted this India vs Afghanistan Test series for the very first time, and that too India. This tournament includes a test series and three-match one-day internationals. The test is already concluded. And the three-match ODI will start on June 14th. And the other two matches will take place on the 17th and 20th of June, 2026In the said test match India was defeated by Afghanistan by 300 runs. Marking India's biggest Test victory. India scored a massive 564 by 8 wickets. And Afghanistan's men's team has made 152 and 112 in two innings.

Subhman Gill was the captain of the team and scored a magnificent century. On the other hand, Manav Suthar and Washington Sundar made sure to pocket all the wickets.

In his debut match against Afghanistan in the test match, Manav Suthar took 6 wickets by giving 33 runs. Thus, not only was the victory for the team ensured but also his debut performance became strikingly remarkable. Formerly Aswin holds a record from a match that was held in 2011. Since then Suthar is the only Indian player to build such a record.

Suthar, personally follows Aswin a lot. He considers him an idol. Though it took a bit long for him to get into the team. But once he got the chance he made sure that he was going to stay there for a longer period of time. As there's Harsh Dubey in the reserve bench as well, Suthar needed to strike a position. Both Dubey and Suthar had a chance to get into the playing 11. Suthar made it possible to finally play the 11. And in his debut match, he made sure his position was firm with his humongous performance.
