What’s in Mizoram’s Sports Infrastructure Plan
The new initiative outlines several priorities: upgrading district sports venues, building multi-sport complexes with modern amenities, developing athletic tracks, football turfs, and indoor arenas, and expanding training centres with strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation facilities.
Boosting Youth Development and Competitive Opportunities
Mizoram aims to boost youth participation in organised sports by improving access to training and competition within the state, aligning local talent with national opportunities. This comes as sports infrastructure becomes a national priority, with neighbouring states also investing in modern facilities to nurture talent.
