Pakistan vs Australia: Heartbreak for Hosts as Australia Complete Incredible Chase in ODI Thriller
The Australian Men's Cricket Team has defeated Pakistan Men's Cricket Team on their homeground in ODI

The Australian cricket team has defeated Pakistan on their home ground by 41 runs. In the first innings of the match, Australia scored a total of 231 for 9 wickets and Pakistan in the second innings scored 190 and lost all their wickets.
In nine overs, by taking 4 wickets for 33 runs, Nathan Ellis became the star of the show as Australia nailed the 2nd ODI of the series. The said match took place at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. The Australian team was not in a proper order but they still made it possible for the team to become undoubtedly the most crucial part of the series.
In the previous match, which took place at Rawalpindi Australia failed to stand up with the bowling lineup. But in Lahore, as the pitch was spin-friendly, the Aussies showed up in their known form. They lasted the whole innings and set a challenging run to chase as the pitch was different for the hosting country as well from the first match pitch of the ODI series.
Ellis and Kuhnemann made sure that the two openers from the Pak battalion returned to the dugout within the first few overs. Although, Shadab Khan on behalf of the Pakistan Cricket team (men's) scored 71 runs off 104 balls. Even though they've lost the match, Shadab remained the top scorer of the match.
On the other hand, Aussie batsmen John Inglis and Cameron Green scored half-centuries, and Matt Renshaw and Oliver Peake took singles to keep the score going up at a crucial point. It seems they've figured out how to deal with the pitch from the scorecard of the previous match. Due to the hot climate and huge temperature, the pitch was spin-friendly.
The nature of the pitch was very clear for both sides from the very beginning of the match. So Aussies decided to take it slowly around the 15th over. And executed the rest of the innings accordingly. Meanwhile, the Pak bowlers tried their best. On the other hand, even after an innings of 71 by Shadab Khan, Pakistan couldn't make it happen on their home ground.
Sportscape thinks, this might happen out of some kind of strategic fault of the Pak bridge and also feels the Aussies made it possible through their actually commendable decision-making. Although, eyeing the next and last match of the ODI series, Sportscape wishes all the best to both teams.
