Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department and Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Government of Rajasthan, Praveen Gupta, ran an extensive review over the Sawai Man Singh Stadium upgradation for the home team Rajasthan Royals.
Significant meeting intricacies
After resolving the stalemate deadlock caused by the Tata Projects 700-page audit report on the inadequacies of the facility, the government had taken the initiative to address all the infrastructural concerns and give the stadium a post-breakup Gen Z makeover.
Joint Secretary to Government, Youth Affairs and Sports Department, Government of Rajasthan, and Secretary, Rajasthan State Sports Council, Neetu Barupal; Chief Accounts Officer, Kamalpreet Kaur; PWD officials; Executive Engineer of Sports Council; Assistant Engineer; Vice President of Rajasthan Royals, Rajiv Khanna; and other officials were also present at the review meeting.
Roadmap to the renovation details
The public works department has been given the responsibility to complete the refurbishment in time with the new installation of new lifts and recamping of the washrooms of the VIP stands, along with new net inculcation and removal of barbed wires. All civil, water, and electricity work shall be wrapped up along with floodlight upgrades to improve spectator visibility at the scheduled time.
