ISL Clubs Submit 8 Member Working Committee Nominations as AIFF Faces Transparency Debate Amid Genius Sports and FanCode Bids
The ongoing standoff between the All India Football Federation and Indian Super League clubs has intensified with clubs submitting an eight member nomination list for a proposed joint working committee aimed at improving transparency and accountability.

The ongoing tussle between the governing authority, AIFF, and its clubs has now seen nominations being published from the league’s side for the proposed working committee, having representation from both fronts to uplift transparency and accountability.
“The tender process for appointing a long-term commercial rights partner for the ISL and the Federation Cup has been conducted transparently and in compliance with the directions of the Hon’ble Supreme Court in the previous instance,” AIFF president Kalyan Chaubey wrote. “However, should you wish to propose the formation of any additional committees, the AIFF welcomes your suggestions,” he added further.
8 nominations for the working committee
Owners of SC Delhi (Bhavesh Jindal), Kerala Blasters (Nikhil Nimmagadda) and Odisha FC (Rohan Sharma) and CEOs/directors of FC Goa (Ravi Puskur), Chennaiyin FC (Ekansh Gupta,) Bengaluru FC (Darren Caldeira), SC Delhi (Dhruv Sood) and Mohun Bagan Super Giant (Vinay Chopra) would be part of the proposed working group.
Blueprint to the bidding proposals
The first bidder, namely the data and analytics firm Genius, has offered ₹64 crore for its first year and a proposition of ₹2129 crore for a 20-year (15+5) period, with an additional 5% increment every year. On a similar front, OTT platform FanCode is willing to pay ₹36 crore in the first year, followed by a subsequent ₹1,190 crore for the 20-year deal with an additional 5% per year increment, the same as Genius.
AIFF shall receive a 20% cut of these proposed amounts in terms of takeaway money, which shall round up to around ₹12.8 crore from Genius for the first year, along with ₹7.2 crore from Fancode for the same period.
“As per our understanding, AIFF will be secured for at least ₹27 crore (including a ₹1 crore participation fee from a minimum of 14 clubs) from the first year, but how much will clubs get?”, a club official said.
