Cluster based sports hub model
The blueprint has a categorical heading of the cluster-based Olympic city model approach, whereby 30 sites across the Ahmedabad-Gandhinagar corridor shall become host to athlete accommodation, training infrastructure, and commute venues.
The centerpiece of this roadmap is the Sardar Vallabhai Patel Sports Enclave. The 236-acre spread of the Motera-based project shall enhance the Narendra Modi Stadium with a massive 50,000-seat football stadium and a 1200-seat aquatic center. The ₹4,600 crore project shall aid the city's growth into an international host of marquee sports events.
Integrated sports district across cities
AUDA's plan is city inclusive instead of being based on transportation. Large land parcels are proposed to be reserved for further constructions under the public-private partnership model. A sports district is being planned in Manipur, the Godhavi Arena, as the southwest Ahmedabad sports arena. The reorganization of this 20 km corridor includes 60,000 square meters of land for road construction along with a 32,617 square meter area for parking facilities to evolve the area into a next-generation sports hub.
