Whom does the Pitch of Chepauk favour?
If one talks about the pitch, the batting team has an advantage on this pitch, with few stats hinting towards the batting team having won their matches 51 times here, with the teams having chosen to bowl only having 41 winning titles with them. This denotes a clear batting pitch along with having a reputation for supporting spinners.
Roadmap to the stadium renovation
Ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup and T20 matches, the Madras Cricket Club stand had been rebuilt along with the grass surface revamped in late 2025. The Anna Pavilion received new modernized changing rooms. New digital billboards and screens were installed to enhance the fan experience ahead of the IPL 2026 season.A state-of-the-art drainage system has also been installed to prevent a major flooding crisis in case of sudden rain.
The man of the hour, N. Srinivasan, is being credited for this massive transformation of Chepauk Stadium from an old rugged playing field to a modernized state-of-the-art facility.
