CM Dhami reviews preparations ahead of international kayaking championship in Uttarakhand
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted on-site inspection ahead of Kayaking and Canoeing Championship

Ahead of the forthcoming International Kayaking and Canoeing Championship in the Gadarpur area of Udham Singh Nagar district, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conducted an on-site inspection of the arrangements related to the tournament, the official press release stated.
During the visit, CM Dhami inspected facilities for athletes, security measures, technical equipment, transport and accommodation and other prepartions related to the upcoming event. He ordered officials to ensure all preparations are completed and meet the required standards, ensuring smooth conduct of the event. He stressed on close coordination between departments to ensure convenience to athletes, coaches and other officials.
As part of the inspection, CM Dhami himself took part in water sports activities while noting Uttarkhand's potential in adventure sports. He mentioned, “Uttarakhand possesses immense potential for adventure sports. The state’s natural landscape is highly suitable for water sports and other adventure activities.”
He reiterated the government’s continuous efforts in expanding sports facilities and developing modern infrastructure. Dhami further mentioned that international competitions offer young athletes a platform to showcase their potential and motivate them to excel globally.
CM Dhami noted the potential of such events in promoting sports activities and contributing to tourism, local business, employment, and economic growth in the state. He added the government’s aim to promote sports among youth and make sports accessible to all sections of society.
