India snatched another victory against Pakistan: Smriti Mandhana and Deepti Sharma stole the show
India won the T20 World Cup match against Pakistan at Edgbaston as Mandhana and D Sharma performed remarkably.

ICC Women's T20 World Cup has already started. Yesterday at Edgbaston, one of the greatest rivalries of Indian cricket that is, the India W team vs Pakistan W team match took place and India achieved the presumed victory as the women in blue stood up for the team. While Deepti S and Smriti Mandhana were undoubtedly the "women of the match".
India batted in the first innings. In front of the Pak bowling attack, the team has suffered early losses. The openers Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues were knocked out in the first four overs leaving the fans in deep distress as the scoreboard shows 18/2. And there comes Smriti Mandhana. Mandhana read the bowling attack patterns and delivered a befitting half-century, concluding at a score of 68.
Mandhana took the situation under her control with ultimate grace. She showed her aggression where it was needed and kept calm when it was required as well. Took singles and doubles as well as the boundaries as required in the situation to keep the pulse of the match and increased the total score with her performance. When the Indian skipper joined her, the partnership took a whole new turn as the experienced captain Harmanpreet Kaur delivered an important 36 runs on her behalf to keep the run growing and strengthen the partnership. Her experience contributed another dimension to the partnership and the batting lineup became stronger. In the later part of the innings, Richa Ghosh also contributed some crucial runs and set the score at 170 out of 6 wickets. This is eventually the highest score to date against Pakistan.
In the second innings, Pak openers Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali were doing well on their own to achieve the run chase. Especially Muneeba's performance was somewhat commendable. But there comes Deepti Sharma, another plot twist of the India vs Pakistan match. Her bowling attack dismantled the Pakistani batting lineup as well as their confidence. And the match eventually slipped out of their grasp. This experienced all-rounder has bagged 5 wickets for a mere 10 runs. As her bowling intensified the Pak mid-order got totally disrupted. Other bowlers of the Indian squad were also in form as they've made sure none of the opponents wicket are left to be bagged. And thus Pakistan finished the innings in 107 runs and no wickets left. And India secured a 63-run dramatic victory.
Sportscape observes that yesterday's match was a success for Team India because the coordination between both lineups was quite up to the mark. While Mandhana and Kaur stood up and made sure the highest score against the Pak squad, Deepti Sharma ruled over the entire second innings. We therefore congratulate Team India for this victory and hope this victory will bring more confidence within the team for the upcoming matches of the tournament. And we will be able to witness more such successive matches in future.
