Khelo Delhi- Delhi Khel Mahakhumbh has kicked off its league for the next three-months, set to take place at prominent venues across Delhi, including Chhatrasal Stadium, Bawana, Najafgarh, and Vikaspuri. Seven major sports will be eyed by the spectators: football, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, and more, inviting the participation of 16,000 athletes till now and expecting it to grow by 30,000 this year.

Advancement of Sports Infrastructure for Khelo India across the Nation
New facilities have paced its way up under the Khelo India umbrella, with the inclusivity of cities like Bhopal, Guwahati, and Patiala. โน120 crore has been rendered by the government of the nation for encouraging athlete support, expansion of synthetic turf, and multi-use halls. Sports ministy mathes its foot steps with the indian government and has sanctioned about 341 sports infrastructure projects to cater to elite facilities in 679 districts in about every state and Union Territories.

Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood noted that the event aims not only to showcase talent but to create structured pathways from grassroots training to national-level competition. With stadiums and community fields upgraded for the festival and plans to establish six new Khelo India Centres in the city awaiting SAI approval, these platforms are being positioned as year-round incubators of talent, fitness, and opportunity.
