Los Angeles Olympics 2028 adds Musco Lighting as key technology partner
Ahead of the 2028 LA Olympics, the organising committee has appointed Musco Lighting as the official lighting provider.

Ahead of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee (LA28) has appointed Musco Lighting as the official sport presentation and broadcast lighting provider.
Under the agreement, Musco will deliver advanced lighting solutions across LA28 competition venues, assisting in world-class broadcast production and immersive in-venue fan experiences. The partnership with Musco has also been extended to Team USA, further boosting the company’s role within the Olympic and Paralympic ecosystem ahead of the 2028 Games.
As per the deal, Musco will also equip the competition venues with field-of-play lighting designed to meet the stringent requirements of global broadcasters. Sports presentation and entertainment lighting systems will also be deployed by the company to enhance the athlete introduction and medal ceremonies for live as well as virtual audiences.
Musco, whose Olympic journey began at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympic Games, is set to mark a homecoming with the latest partnership. After a span of four decades, the company will return to LA to deliver high-end services at an event expected to attract billions of global viewers.
Referring to their latest collaboration ahead of the LA28 Games, Jeff Rogers, Chief Executive Officer of Musco Lighting, mentioned, “Musco’s first involvement with lighting Olympic venues was the 1984 Games in Los Angeles. Forty-four years later, our team is enthused about the opportunity to partner with LA28 and Team USA.”
Sportscape views this deal as the growing importance of technology in modern sporting events. Good lighting helps improve both TV broadcasts and the fan experience in stadiums. Musco’s experience also adds value, and the partnership will help LA28 deliver a high-quality event.
