In a move to boost sports infrastructure in the Pir Panjal region, Minister for Jal Shakti, Forest, Ecology & Environment and Tribal Affairs, Javed Ahmed Rana, has announced the construction of a state-of-the-art Cricket stadium and an Indoor Stadium at OP Hill, Mendhar.
During a thrilling match between Mendhar XI and MSS at the OP Hill Stadium, Rana made the announcement regarding the construction of the two stadiums, drawing an enthusiastic response from the audience and players.
Rana during his address reiterated the government’s commitment towards strengthening sports infrastructure and creating better opportunities for youth. He emphasized the need for modern sports facilities in identifying and nurturing talent and encouraging young people to take active part in physical activities.
The proposed Cricket Stadium and Indoor Stadium are likely to enhance sports activities in Mendhar and nearby regions by providing athletes access to modern training and competition facilities.
