Implementation concerns as the base of the governor led infrastructural model
The president of Namibia, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah had raised concerns regarding the implementation delays in sports infrastructure projects in spite of allocation of N$200 million for category 2 stadiums and another N$200 million for basic sports infrastructure in the 2025-26 budget. He therefore urged the regional governors to lead the infrastructure construction projects within a tangible deadline of 21st March 2026. The government had aimed to introduce CAF category 2 stadiums with 10,000 seating capacity while category 3 stadiums with 30,000 seating capacity respectively with the concerned allocation.
