Roadmap to the infrastructural preparations
Major stadiums of the Los Angeles area, like the AI-complemented SoFi Stadium located in Inglewood and the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson. The government is taking active steps to step up the infrastructural requirements for these events of international significance. Transportation shall become a hurdle with the infusion of a massive footfall of fans to attend the marquee events.In order to smooth the operational process and avoid causing the residents difficulty in their daily routines, an extensive plan is underway.
“It’s an enormous undertaking; it's creating a second metro for the sake of 16 days of the Olympics and 12 days of the Paralympics. It’s hard to believe how much we have to do for such a short time.” Forgiarini, senior executive officer of the L.A. Metro service department, said.
The authority is taking important steps to reduce traffic congestion issues, like doubling the current public transit options by 2028.
“Failure to do that just means those neighbourhoods will be inundated with traffic in one form or another, whether it’s the rideshare in huge volumes or people just trying to park and ending up abandoning vehicles in the neighbourhood," he further added.
