"They Are Attacking My Friends And Family": Travis Head's Wife Opens Up About Online Abuse After Virat Kohli Fight
Travis Head's wife, Jessica reveals about how she faced online abuse that is now affecting her friends and family.

It appears that the spat between Virat Kohli and Travis Head wasn’t the only incident that triggered the online abuse of the Australian cricketer’s wife. Head’s wife, Jessica, recently opened up about hateful comments and messages that she received after the Kohli-Head moment during the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bengaluru game that took place on May 22. She revealed that though she is fine, the online hate has now reached her backyard, attacking her friends and family.
“It feels like a repeat of the abuse that happened after the World Cup,” she told the Australian media outlet, The Advertiser. “I woke up to my socials blasting - we are fine but they are attacking my friends & family - I think across all sports at the moment there’s an important conversation around mental health, perspective and the way we speak to one another. Passion will always be part of sport, but so is remembering there are real people and families behind the game. Hopefully, this encourages more kindness and support for one another”.
Cricket star Travis Head and wife Jessica have been bombarded with thousands of vile messages from Indian trolls after his on-field clash with Virat Kohli.

What Really Happened?
Travis Head has always been one of India’s biggest nightmares when it comes to cricket. Take his 2023 ODI World Cup finals performance, where he single-handedly took his team to the finals, scoring 137 runs. His 2024-25 Border-Gavaskar Performance has also been a key factor in the Indian side's submission. But the latest squabble took place in the RCB vs SRH match, where Head reportedly sledging Kohli to play more attacking shots during RCB’s chase.
Kohli responded sarcastically, asking Head to come and bowl himself, even though Head was playing as an impact player. As soon as Kohli was dismissed early by Sakib Hussain, Head hit back, saying that before he could get a chance to bowl, Kohli was sent back to the pavilion, which the Indian batter did not like.
SRH posted a monstrous total of 255 runs on board and won the game by 55 runs. After the match, Head tried to shake hands with Virat during post-match greetings, but Kohli walked past him and greeted other players as usual.
Virat Kohli's Performance in IPL 2026
RCB finished at the top of the IPL 2026 points table and will play the Gujarat Titans in Qualifier-1, scheduled for May 26 at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association (HPCA) Stadium in Dharamshala. Kohli has played a major role in taking the team to the playoffs.
Virat Kohli is the top run-scorer for the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in the IPL 2026 season, accumulating 557 runs across 14 matches. Kohli maintains an impressive average of 50.64 and a strike rate of 163.82.
