Besides new projects, Dr. Mandaviya inaugurated two athlete-support dedicated structures at Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports (NS NIS), Patiala, at a cost of ₹38 crore. Concentrate on Accountability and Asset Management.
With the focus on accountability, the Minister increased the role of SAI in safeguarding and putting sports assets to the best possible use. He declared to carry out frequent inspections by having monthly reviews executed by SAI and quarterly reviews at the ministerial level to ensure infrastructure is completed on time and used well.

Restating the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Dr. Mandaviya said that India must strive to become one of the top 10 sporting countries by 2036 and the top five by the 100th anniversary of Independence.
“We must work collectively to realise Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision of positioning India among the top 10 sporting nations by 2036 and among the top five when the country celebrates 100 years of Independence,” Dr. Mandaviya said.
Another point he made was the 500 crore investment in sports goods production, which continues to support the objective of the nation to create an independent and internationally competitive sports infrastructure.
