₹3.82 Crore Khelo India Swimming Pool Nears Completion at Bhagalpur
A ₹3.82 crore swimming pool project under the Khelo India initiative at Bihar Agricultural University, Bhagalpur is in its final stages and is expected to be handed over by September

Out of a total of 4 Khelo India projects that were allocated to Bihar, two went to Bhagalpur, namely the multipurpose indoor stadium at Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University as well as the agriculture university campus swimming pool as the state bids for Olympics.
The remaining two went to Patna University and Veer Kunwar University, respectively.Out of the two designated projects, the swimming pool scheduled to be built at Bihar African University is nearing completion and shall be handed over for use by September this year.

Progress review committee
A comprehensive team of six members, including the Khelo India Zonal Manager (Eastern Region), an official from the Bihar government's Sports Department, and the Registrar of BAU, carried out a detailed inspection of the stated progress of the project at Bhagalpur.
Executive engineer Anil Kumar Singh detailed the team about the specificities of the project, highlighting the goal behind it to provide accessibility to the athletes by hosting national and international events at the site,and which shall bring attention to the state's sports ecosystem.
Specifications of the project
The project has been planned to cost ₹ 3.82 crore. The length of the facility is being targeted to be 50 m, while the width is 25 m. Simultaneously, 10 swimmers can swim in 10 different lanes provided in the pool. The depth has been planned between 3.5 m and 6 m deep.
