RCB Stadium Upgrade Boosts IPL Safety and Fan Experience at Chinnaswamy Stadium
As excitement builds for the upcoming IPL season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru has undertaken a comprehensive safety and infrastructure upgrade at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium to enhance fan experience while preventing incidents like past crowd mishaps.

In order to maintain the excitement and zeal of the fans while making sure that tragic incidents like the stampede at RCB winning celebrations never happen again, governments and team owners are funding stadium renovation upgrades as a safety measure.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru is determined to play at its home ground after a glorious win the previous season, for which its CEO, Rajesh Menon, announced a sanction of ₹7 crore for revamping the Chinnaswamy Stadium. The move complements the measures of Karnataka state cricket association's to upgrade the stadium infrastructure for better crowd management.In honour of the victims of the tragedy, RCB shall keep 11 seats vacant at the stadium.

Blueprint of the Stadium Upgradation
Before the first match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Menon announced in the preseason meet the installation of new baggage scanners and command centers to help in managing the massive fan turnout.
Iron Man fans should further be delighted to know that CCTV cameras are being installed throughout the facility, especially on the concourse controlled by an AI tool called Jarvis. This shall prevent any misfortunes this season and add another safety layer as it sends a real-time, stand-specific crowd count to the commissioners' office also, which shall help the management to administer the crowd efficiently.
The entry and exit gates shall also be reworked along with fan movement protocols in alliance with the local authority suggestions. Further arrangements shall be made for ticket owners getting metro accessibility on match days with pre-booking allowance in parking lots. Stadiums shall be opened 4 hours prior to the event to minimize haste and panic.
"I would like to thank the government for making this possible. It has been a long journey since June 4, and everything has been executed on a war footing. We have worked to follow the SOPs provided by the court and ensure all protocols are in place," Menon assured.
