Donald Rukare Leads Key Commonwealth Meet in Gujarat Ahead of 2030 Games
Gujarat is accelerating preparations to host the prestigious 2030 Commonwealth Games, marking the centenary edition of the global sporting event.

Are you ready to witness one of the most prestigious sports events in the history of Indian sporting culture? Gujarat has its preparations going in full swing to welcome the star athletes aboard for the Commonwealth 2030.
Amidst the hype, strict guidelines need to be adhered to in order to smoothly run the marquee event.The Commonwealth Association sent their delegates to validate the infrastructural preparations made by the state of Mahatma Gandhi.
“Inspired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s mantra of time-bound and effective planning, Gujarat is committed to successfully hosting the Centenary Commonwealth Games 2030 through teamwork,”said Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel in a statement.

It is our honour to host the centenary year of the Commonwealth, thereby highlighting Indian influence in the industry of sporting events.Led by President Donald Rukare, the delegation, which included CEO Katie Sadleir and Director of Games & Assurance Darren Hal, carried out an extensive review of all the major sports sites, including Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Vadodara, and Ekta Nagar.

The centerpiece of the gala would be the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel enclave . Among other noteworthy complexes, mention would be made of the Narendra Modi Stadium, Mahatma Mandir, Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, and IIT Gandhinagar.
Apart from the reviewing of the current infrastructure and the scope for upgradation, meetings were also held with the officials of the Commonwealth Games Association of India and the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.President Donald Rukare praised the scale of preparations and used the words "ambitious and forward-looking” for the entire fiasco. It is a great pride for India.
