FIFA taps Roblox to engage next-gen fans ahead of World Cup 2026
With an aim to tap younger generation, FIFA has partnered with Roblox for the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Moving beyond traditional console gaming, FIFA has partnered with Roblox for the FIFA World Cup 2026 to expand fan engagement through the community-driven platform. Through the collaboration with Gamefam, FIFA has introduced “FIFA Super Soccer” on Roblox to connect with a younger audience.
As the youth generation increasingly spends time on interactive social gaming platforms, the recent partnership reflects FIFA’s evolving strategy to reach a broader audience. Chris Volk, FIFA’s director of gaming and esports, mentioned the organisation's strategy to engage players beyond those who regularly purchase console titles.
Since its launch in 2023, FIFA Super Soccer has shown strong engagement, recording over 1.1 billion gameplay sessions and averaging 1.5 million daily sessions. Around 74% of the players aged 11-13 are already football fans, while nearly 68% have expressed interest in watching the FIFA World Cup.
The FIFA Super Soccer allows users to play with friends in real time, creating a shared experience blending e-gaming and live sports. This marks a shift from FIFA’s earlier exclusive gaming partnerships, allowing the organisation to explore multiple platforms to maximise reach.
Sportscape believes FIFA’s collaboration with Roblox for the FIFA World Cup 2026 is a landmark step in expanding the tournament’s reach to a particularly younger audience. For Roblox, as well, this provides a lifetime opportunity to cement its position through the tournament.
