European Gold Cup: Indian Boxers Bag 12 Medals Including 8 Golds at Usti Nad Labem
Indian boxers delivered a dominant show at the European Gold Cup in Usti Nad Labem, clinching 12 medals, including 8 golds, in one of their strongest campaigns of the season.

The 56th Grand Prix at Usti Nad Labem witnessed an impressive performance by Indian Boxers as they took 12 medals, including 8 gold, back home from the European Gold Cup. Men's and women’s boxing teams matched at four gold medals each.
Women’s Category
Among the women’s division, the gold winners were Sakshi Chaudhary against Mayssoun Bourega (France) in 51kg, Preeti Kawar defeated Jeyssa Marcel (France), a defending Asian Champion in 54 kg, Priya Ganghas was in a fight with the home player Barbora Maxova (Czechia) in 60 kg, and the Olympic medallist, Lovlina Borgohain, against Melissa Gemini (Italy) in the 75 kg category. Parveen won the group's sole silver medal in the 65 kg division. All the women Indian boxers put up a good fight against their opponents and won gold with the same score of 5-0.
Men’s Category
The gold medalists in the men’s boxing team were Jadumani Singh in the 55 kg division, Sachin Siwach in the 60 kg group, Ankush in the 80 kg category, and Narender Berwal in the heaviest category of 90+ kg. The silver medalists were Aditya Pratap Yadav (65 kg) and Kapil Pokhariya (90 kg). Both of them lost their matches by narrow margins in the final rounds. Sumit Kundu (70 kg), the sole bronze medalist of the Indian boxers in the European Gold Cup- Utsi Nad Labem. Among the men, Sachin and Ankush won against Hungary’s Veres Rohland and the Czech Republic’s Florian Daniel with the unilateral score of 5-0, respectively. Jadumani triumphed in the battle against England’s Abdul Burton with 4-1. Lastly, Narender fought hard against Armenia’s David Chaloyan and managed the victory with 3-2.
