NAD Karanja Boosts Naval Wellness with New Multi-Sports Hub
The Naval Armament Depot (NAD) Karanja under the Western Naval Command (India) has strengthened its focus on fitness, wellness, and community development with the inauguration of a new multi-sports complex at the Officers’ Club

The General Manager of the Naval Armament Depot (NAD) Karanja inaugurated a new multisports hub at the officers club of NAS(K).This project is dedicated to the wellness of the officers' families and promotes sports as a medium of the same.

This facility is part of a broader framework of Western Naval Command's broader efforts to improve the current residential and operational infrastructure of the area.The complex shall include indoor services of badminton courts, table tennis halls, and indoor recreation. Among outdoor activities, mention should be made of the tennis, basketball, and volleyball courts. There would be provisions for a gymnasium to ensure the wellness of the officers.
Maharashtra's comprehensive plan for sports led development
Maharashtra is heading towards achieving its sports infrastructure potential by investing in stadiums like the Vidharba-based Black Rock Diamond Stadium, named after the black diamond of coal, which is found in the region.
Sant Swalaram Maharaja Sports Complex is yet another stellar ₹180 crore refurbishment project along with Baramati Stadium. Maharashtra is taking next steps towards evolving esports, like gaming, also. The CM himself addressed an audience to illustrate his support for sports in physical and virtual worlds by his statement—“If my daughter decides to make a career in gaming, she will have 100 percent permission and my full support. No matter which field one chooses, hard work remains the only key to success. ," said CM Fadnavis earlier.
