Haryana Pushes ₹113.6 Crore Gohana Boost to Power Mission Olympics 2036
Haryana is accelerating its rise as a potential Olympic feeder hub with Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announcing ₹113.6 crore worth of development projects in Gohana, including a modern stadium and allied sports infrastructure

Being known for its long, long contribution of ₹989 crore to sports infrastructure, Haryana is gearing up to emerge as a major Olympic feeder state.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced allocations worth crores for the development of the Gohana assembly constituency. Addressing an excited audience at a thanksgiving and development rally at Gohana, the CM took the stage to announce the construction of a modern stadium in the district. Adjacent to this, the CM also announced the construction of a new jogging track alongside the Bhagwan Parshuram Heritage Park on Drain No. 8. The complex shall be constructed with commercial sphere interplay in a public-private partnership model on the condition of land being provided. A sanction of ₹113.6 crore was made at the inauguration of 16 development projects.
Highlighting the state's priority on the development of the Gohana region, the CM proclaimed that out of the 97 promises made in the past 11.5 years, 87 have already been fulfilled.

State’s vision to transform its sporting ecosystem
Referring to Mission Olympics 2036, the sports minister highlighted the relevance of the double-engine government whereby the chief minister, along with the prime minister, is working in sync to evolve Haryana as a major sporting hub. Through initiatives such as Khelo India , TOPS, CM Cup, sports nurseries, academies and Mission Olympics 2036 ‘Vijayi Bhav’, athletes are being provided with robust and sustainable platforms.
Center’s push for the sports overhaul in the state
Projects like the Central University of Haryana multipurpose indoor hall, along with synthetic tracks and volleyball courts, are forerunners of the centre's vision for the state under the Khelo India mission.
