Former Rajasthan Royals' Star Backs Vaibhav Suryavanshi After Ugly Fight, Says "If Someone Throws A Stone, Except..."
R Ashwin backs Vaibhav Suryavanshi for his altercation with the Sri Lanka A cricket team in the India A vs Sri Lanka A match.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi is facing harsh criticism for his altercation with the Sri Lanka A Cricket Team during the last match between India A and Sri Lanka A. Among all the buzz, a former Rajasthan Royals’ star has backed the Indian prodigy. R Ashwin thrashed the Sri Lanka A cricket team for their behaviour against the 15-year-old.
"Vaibhav Suryavanshi is not at fault here at all. After India A lost the match, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was walking alone by himself. That is clearly visible in the video. However, the Sri Lankan players started saying various things to him from the side and began abusing him. Only after that did the altercation begin. Since Vaibhav Suryavanshi had done nothing wrong, whatever he did in response was justified. The Sri Lankan players should have shown more restraint. But if someone throws a stone, they should expect a response in return. What Vaibhav Suryavanshi did was absolutely right," R Ashwin said.
No Indian fan should be happy with what we saw in Dambulla - Tilak Verma going on and on gesturing and arguing with the umpires even with light fading, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi getting into an ugly scene with Lankans and how India A management messed up another Super Over.

When R. Ashwin Lost His Cool On/Off The Field
The former Indian Spinner is known for several heated moments in the game. He has been part of various controversies and debates, both online and on the ground. Following an IPL match in 2016, he confronted a journalist after the post-match conference to lecture him on ethical journalism. There are several mankading incidents to his name. During an international match between India and England, Ashwin bailed Butler on the non-strikers’ end. His reasoning was simple: the batter repeatedly stepped out of the crease before the delivery of the ball. These moments questioned the spirit of sportsmanship in cricket.
The Young Prodigy Met The Former ODI Captain
Following the eventful match, the 15-year-old batter also met the first international ODI captain of the Sri Lanka cricket team. Anura also spoke on how he should focus solely on the game. “You focus on your game and cut out the outside noise," said Anura Tennekoon to Vaibhav. The 79-year-old also encouraged him, “Today, unfortunately, you couldn’t get going. But that’s part of the game, you can’t get going every day."
Sportscapefeels that these heated exchanges are a part of sports. Though sportsmanship is another side to the coin. These moments should be taken with a grain of salt and should not affect the performance in the game. Moving on is the best possible way out.
