Ghaziabad shall receive an international cricket stadium along with an atrocity to boost urban tourism, well-collaborated with a sports-based economic push. The transformation is being targeted to cost a massive fund of ₹2200 crore.
Stadium anchored economic push as the primary vision
The facility shall come equipped with employment opportunities as well, thereby forming the base for a major economic push.According to Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) Vice Chairman Nand Kishore Kalal, under the proposed plan in Rajnagar Extension (Morti area), the international stadium being envisioned shall cost ₹400 crores. The plan had been envisioned back in 2014 itself but could not be initiated due to various hurdles and is finally getting the administrative nod to start execution.
It will include large hotels, luxury resorts, modern shopping malls, retail zones, high-tech business hubs, office spaces, and entertainment centers. Due to its proximity to the airport, the area will become a major attraction for both domestic and international tourists and investors," said GDA Vice Chairman Nand Kishore Kalal on how the program is being shaped to transform the entire area comprehensively.
Collaborative sports complex becoming the beacon of light
This shows the holistic plan to build modernized sports complexes and residential areas too to foster development and economic advancement of the entire area. The project is being planned to be guided after the approval of the Ghaziabad Development Authority in collaboration with the UP Cricket Association.
